SMASH! Pictures was founded by two experienced D.P.’s:
Graham Willoughby is a New York based dp. He has a Red camera and everything else too. He came up through the lighting department and so he could light his way out of a barn thank you very much. He has a large grip and electric package. He has been working in film ever since leaving his career as a waiter with a Math-Education degree ended back in 1994. He has twice been to Sundance for things he shot.
SPECIALIZING IN DIGITAL CINEMA TECHNOLOGY with an industry background as both a lighting technician and a camera assistant (an uncommon, yet deliberate, tack), Joseph Victorine brings a lively and always lustrous approach to the shaping of light and shadow. His work — often informed by pop culture — extracts the grit and raw human emotion from images that can be solicited only from constant observation, deliberate camera placement, and movement. Joe studied art and film theory at Vassar College, then expanded his expertise through film technology courses at NYU. He has developed extensive knowledge of the industry by working in a vast array of sub-sectors over the course of seven years, including documentary and commercial shoots, reality television, feature films, corporate and music videos, fashion, and EPKs.
